Departure time

The tour will start in the morning at 8.00am with a pick up from your hotel in Mandalay. Please be noted that you need to arrive at least one day before the tour starts (we recommend two days earlier to acclimate and avoid jet lag). We are pleased to arrange airport pick-up/drop-off, hotel in Mandalay upon your request with additional cost.

Return time

The tour will end around 5.00pm back in Mandalay, so it is possible for you to catch a departure flight on same day. You would also like to take a connecting flight (next day) to extend your beach holiday in Ngapali (Ngapali beach is not recommended between May to end of August due to the rainy season).

Luggage

Most of touring time, you have to bring luggage along with you and pack it on the back of your bike. Chased pick-up truck is arranged on special requirement only. So, the luggage is recommended to be light and easy to tight up.

While you don't have to be an athlete to join us on this adventure, we would not recommend this tour to those who cannot, for instance, climb a flight of stairs without puffing and blowing. Please consult your doctor if you have any existing medical condition before booking.

We also provide helmets, gloves, knee and elbow guards which are of high quality brands in many different sizes. ⋆ ITINERARY: FULL-DAY OFF-ROAD IN MANDALAY

Spend a day with one of our tour guides who will show you around the local area, to the green vegetables plantation, riverside villages and historic sites of Mandalay.

Pick up from your hotel in Mandalay at 8:00am then be transferred by taxi to our motorcycle store where you will start riding.

Firstly, we will ride to the riverside villages of Mandalay by passing through the 22nd road and traditional brickworks. Then, continue rolling to the pristine riverside villages of Mandalay on two wheels. These villages with their seasonal plantations growing along the riverside are still untouched to the tourists. On the way, we will stop by to meet up with the local people, to know more about their culture and also to have great fun. Furthermore, you can go down to the farming area to see the local people working in the fields and may be to experience some farming methods.

After passing through more than five local villages, we will get to Nan Daw Kyun – The Island of Royal Palace, which is one of the most beautiful villages located on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy river. We will take a short break at the village factory where you can see many young girls frying beans – an ingredient of the tea leaf salad.

Our next destination is Mingun which is one of the most popular historic sites of Mandalay located on the western bank of Irrawaddy river. To get there, our bikes will be loaded in the local sampan boat.

Here, you can have a great opportunity to contemplate numerous outstanding constructions such as Mingun Pagoda - an unfinished pagoda which might have been the biggest pagoda in the history of Buddhism; Mingun bell - the world second largest ringing bell, and Myatheindan Pagoda. After a visit around Mingun, we will head off to Sagaing by passing through some interesting villages. We will stop at “Koe Taung Village” which is famous for making the best rice noodle and rice noodle salad in Myanmar.

To make your trip more memorable, you can take a walk around the area to observe the procedures of making rice noodle in the local factory and enjoy the rice noodle salad. Then, continue moving to Sagaing - one of Myanmar's most sacred destinations with over thousands of meditation centers, monasteries and nunneries. You can pay a visit to Uminthonze Pagoda where contains 45 sitting Buddha images in a crescent-shaped colonnade; or Sunooponnyashin Pagoda on the top of Hill to enjoy the breathtaking view of Sagaing and its environs.

After that, we will have a short break and lunch at local restaurant.

Next, we will take part in the charity activities at Aung Myae Oo Monastic Education Center which is founded in 2003 by the well-educated monk for the purpose of providing the free education to poor children and orphans living around Sagaing Hill. The children are either accommodated in the school compound itself or in surrounding monasteries. The overwhelming majority are young novices and nuns who are educated according to Buddhist traditions and values. Tuition is free for all students. The school is entirely funded by donation.

Before heading back to Mandalay, we will visit the longest teak bridge in the world – the U Bein Bridge in Amarapura. Located 11km to the south of Mandalay, U Bein Bridge is not only known for the great length but also a perfect spot to admire the breath – taking sunset of the Golden Land. Back to Mandalay and return your bike to our team of ground service in the late afternoon (around 16:30 - 17.00).

My Girlfriend and I spent a month in Myanmar on a Honda CRF 250 rented from Burma Motorbike Rentals. This was the first time they had rented this bike for such a long season, in the summer, for two passengers with bags going to places less traveled.
We had issues with the bike, some self-inflicted, and BMR was always there ... More +
